1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained\\
1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling\\
1 package yellow cake mix\\
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans\\
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, cut into thin slices

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.\\
Dump undrained pineapple into pan. Spread evenly. Dump in pie filling. Spread evenly. Sprinkle cake mix evenly over cherry layer. Sprinkle pecans over cake mix. Dot with butter. Bake at 350F. for 50 minutes or until top is lightly browned.

Note: May substitute blueberry, apple or peach pie filling for the cherries. Also, nuts may be left out.
