I've just tried this recipe, and thoguh edible, the cake is nothing like pound cake. Should there be some sort of leavener, such a baking powder included in the recipe?

Drop by measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 7 to 8 minutes for chewier cookies; 9 to 10 minutes for crisper cookies.
