1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons granulated sugar\\ 1 tablespoon baking powder
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 cup milk
1 cup cooking oil, for frying

Whisk together flour, sugar and baking powder. Add crushed pineapple and milk. Stir until everything is incorporated together. Drop 1/4 cup dough into hot oil and flatten with a spatula. Brown on both sides. Remove to a plate with paper towels to drain.

Serve with syrup and powdered sugar. Makes 10 to 12 fritters.
