1 large, ripe pear, sliced
1/4 cup finely chopped onion\\ 1/3 cup maple-flavored syrup\\ 1 tablespoon margarine or butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger\\ 4 (4 ounce) boneless loin pork chops, trimmed of fat
1/2 teaspoon salt\\ 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper\\ 1 teaspoon maple flavoring\\

In medium bowl, combine pear, onion, syrup, margarine and ginger; mix well. Set aside.
Sprinkle both sides of pork chops with salt and pepper. Spray a heavy nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Heat over medium-high heat until hot. Add pork chops; cook 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until browned. Pour pear mixture over pork chops. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and cook 12 to 15 minutes or until pork chops are no longer pink.
Place pork chops on serving platter; cover to keep warm. Cook sauce over medium-high heat for 3 to 4 minutes or until sauce is thickened, stirring constantly. Stir in maple flavoring. Spoon sauce over pork chops.
