But, yes, you can try to assemble them and then freeze before baking. Then, place in the oven while it's preheating to gradually warm them to bake. Again, I haven't tried this myself, but this is how I would give it a go. []

Boil pepperoni to remove excess fat for 5 minutes in water to cover; then drain well. Saute onion in 1-1/3 tablespoons butter or margarine until golden brown.
Preheat oven to 350F. Pour remaining 1/4 cup butter or margarine into an 11 x 7 x 2-inch baking dish. Toss cooked spaghetti in butter or margarine. Cover spaghetti with tomato sauce. Add in order listed: one half of the grated Swiss cheese, 1/2 of the pepperoni, 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese, all of the mushrooms and onions, then sprinkle with oregano and basil. Top with remainder of Swiss cheese, pepperoni and finally the mozzarella cheese. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 350F.
