1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup cider vinegar
3 tablespoons prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon instant minced onion
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 (14.5 ounce) cans whole or cut green beans, drained\\

Combine sugar, vinegar, mustard, minced onion and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Add green beans. Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Cool. Store in a non-metallic bowl. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
