Name: Sour Cream and Chive Dumplings
Key Ingredient: baking mix
Preparation: mix
Cuisine: American
Source: The Best of Bisquick
Food Group: grain
Meals: dinner
Courses: side
Temperature: hot
Effort: easy
Prep. Time: :10
Elapsed Time: :30
Servings: 6

2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1/3 cup milk
1/3 cup dairy sour cream
3 tablespoons freeze-dried chives

Mix Bisquick baking mix, milk, sour cream and chives until soft dough forms. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto boiling mixture; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered 10 minutes; cover and simmer 10 minutes longer.

Note: Mixture should be boiling when dumplings are dropped; the steam helps them to rise. Drop dough onto meat or vegetables, not into liquid, to avoid absorption of moisture.
