Dissolve gelatin completely in boiling water, stirring about 3 minutes. Add ice cubes and stir until gelatin is thickened, about 2 to 3 minutes. Remove any unmelted ice. Using wire whisk, blend in Cool Whip Topping; then whip until smooth. Fold in fruit. Chill, if necessary, until mixture will mound. Spoon into crust. Chill 3 hours. Garnish, if desired.

Garnish with additional fruit, if desired.

  • Suggested combinations:
    Strawberry or strawberry-banana jello with 1 cup diced strawberries or 1/2 cup each diced strawberries and sliced banana
    Peach jello with 1 cup diced fresh peaches or 1 (8-3/4 ounce) can sliced peaches, drained and diced
    Lime jello with 1 (8-3/4 ounce) can pear halves, drained and diced, 1 cup diced, peeled fresh pears or 1/2 cup each sliced banana and halved seedless grapes
    Orange or orange-pineapple jello with 1 cup diced orange sections or 1 can (8-1/4 ounce) crushed pineapple in syrup, drained
    Apricot jello with 1 (8-3/4 ounce) can apricots, drained and diced, or 1 cup diced peeled fresh apricots
    Lemon jello with 1 cup fresh blueberries
