2 to 3 slices bacon
1 (31 ounce) can pork and beans
1/2 cup catsup
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 package dehydrated onion soup mix
Cook bacon until crisp; crumble. Set aside.
In an oven-proof casserole dish, mix together pork and beans, catsup, vinegar, brown sugar and dry onion soup mix. Add crumbled bacon.
Bake at 350F. for at least 30 minutes. Stir once or twice during baking.
Note: The soup mix is optional, but definitely makes a difference in the taste.
